Melissa Price, the Ice Cream Experimentista, is a dessert-lover with a scientifically creative mind. She grew up in a dessert-driven home with a wide variety of Southern-inspired desserts served at nearly every meal. Peach cobbler, decadent chocolate brownies, and banana puddings along with fancier dishes filled her stomach. (After a required full plate of a much more balanced diet of vegetables, meats, dairy, and fruits.) However, it took a lifetime of eating those varieties of desserts and an extended trip to Europe to spark her kitchen creativity.
After devouring the delicious cuisine of France and Portugal across two full months abroad, she began to seriously consider the freshness of European dishes that she had experienced on two prior European adventures. And then came the magic moment. Sitting in her own bed eating a pint of ice cream, she looked at the pint and had a simple thought…
